S. Michael Greene is a dedicated husband, father, preacher, and Bible teacher. As the 15th pastor of 160-year-old THE ROCK Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, he humbly wears the title of being “the newest pastor of the oldest African American church in Dallas County.”
With 23 years of experience at Concord Church, Pastor Greene served in various roles, including Children’s Pastor, Next Gen Pastor, Teaching Pastor and Director of Ministry. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for ministry to his leadership at Mount Pisgah.
S. Michael Greene holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies with a concentration in Ministry both from Dallas Baptist University. In addition to serving as Senior Pastor of THE ROCK Mt Pisgah, S. Michael is a Qualitative Consultant for Arbor Research Group and an Adjunct Professor at Criswell College.
S. Michael Greene is married to his beloved wife, Sabrina, and they have three children – Shellie Landon Michael (18 years old), Sean Michael (18 years old), and Leah McKenzie (10 years old).
Throughout his journey, Pastor Greene has had the opportunity to explore the world. He studied abroad at Oxford University in Oxford, England, and has traveled to and preached in the Holy Land. He also embarked on a travel-study trip to Athens, Greece, and Rome, Italy, combining his love for architecture, history, and biblical studies.
With his strong foundation in faith, dedication to continuous learning, and profound love for God’s Word, Pastor S. Michael Greene leads with wisdom, humility, and a heart for impacting lives. His presence at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church is poised to inspire spiritual growth, foster community engagement, and embrace the historical significance of the church, as it continues to serve as a beacon of hope for generations to come.
